1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using therapiststoronto.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the Site.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Nature of the Service

Therapists Toronto is an online directory service only. We connect individuals seeking mental health support with independently practicing therapists listed on the platform. We are not a healthcare provider, medical organization, mental health clinic, or therapy practice.

We do not employ, supervise, endorse, recommend, or otherwise vouch for any therapist listed on the Site. Therapist profiles are provided for informational purposes only.

The Site does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Nothing on this Site should be construed as professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice.

3. No Liability for Therapist Conduct or Outcomes

Therapists Toronto expressly disclaims all responsibility and liability for:

• The conduct, actions, omissions, professional competence, or qualifications of any therapist listed on the Site.
• The quality, accuracy, or outcomes of any therapy sessions arranged through or facilitated by the Site.
• Any harm, injury, loss, or damage — whether physical, emotional, psychological, financial, or otherwise — arising out of or related to your use of any therapist's services.
• Any disputes, disagreements, or legal claims between you and any listed therapist.
• The accuracy or currency of information in therapist profiles, including credentials, availability, fees, specialties, and contact details.

You are solely responsible for independently verifying the credentials, licensure, and suitability of any therapist before engaging their services. We encourage you to verify registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or other applicable regulatory bodies.

4. Not a Crisis or Emergency Service

This Site is not a crisis service or emergency resource. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health emergency, please call 911 or contact a crisis line immediately.

In Canada, you can call or text 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additional resources are available through CAMH at camh.ca.

Therapists Toronto bears no responsibility or liability for any harm arising from a user's failure to seek emergency care.

5. Accuracy of Information

While we make reasonable efforts to ensure that directory listings are accurate and up to date, we make no warranties or representations of any kind — express or implied — regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or suitability of any information on the Site.

Therapist information including but not limited to availability, fees, insurance coverage, languages spoken, and accepted session formats may change at any time without notice. We are not responsible for outdated or incorrect listing information.

Some therapist profiles may contain placeholder or AI-assisted content. Such content is clearly noted and should not be relied upon as definitive.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Therapists Toronto, its operators, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business.
• Personal injury or emotional distress.
• Any damages arising from your reliance on information obtained through the Site.
• Any damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your information.
• Any other matter relating to your use of the Site.

This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability — including negligence — and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. For Therapists Listed on the Site

By agreeing to be listed on Therapists Toronto, therapists represent and warrant that:

• All information provided is accurate, current, and compliant with applicable professional standards.
• They hold all required licenses, registrations, and insurance required to practice in Ontario.
• They will promptly notify us of any changes to their information, registration status, or practice.

Therapists Toronto reserves the right to remove any listing at any time without notice or liability.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Therapists Toronto and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Toronto, Ontario.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
